It’s a quick but thorough medical checkup to identify any conditions that could interfere with safe sports performance.

Walk-ins welcome — no appointment needed. Get your athlete cleared the same day, often in under 20 minutes. We understand sports season deadlines don’t wait.

Every sports physical at Noble Health Clinic is reviewed and signed by a licensed physician — providing the physician clearance letter your school requires.
What Is a Sports Physical Exam?
A sports physical exam (also called a Pre-participation Physical Examination, or PPE) is a medical checkup required by most schools and sports programmes before a student can participate in organised athletics. It confirms that the athlete is healthy enough to safely compete.
The PPE is not just a formality — it’s an opportunity for a physician to identify conditions that could put your child at risk during physical activity. Undetected heart conditions, musculoskeletal problems, and chronic health issues can all be flagged before they become a crisis on the field.
Required by most Nevada schools and sports programmes before the season
Identifies conditions that could be dangerous during athletic activity
Meets NIAA (Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association) requirements
Must be completed by a licensed physician — not just a nurse or school nurse
Valid for one sports season — needs to be renewed annually at most schools
Also available for adults joining recreational leagues or returning to sport
What the PPE evaluates
Review of past illnesses, injuries, surgeries, and family history of heart conditions, diabetes, or other relevant conditions
Heart and lung evaluation — detecting arrhythmias, murmurs, and other conditions that can be dangerous during intense athletic activity
Assessment of joints, posture, flexibility, and any prior injuries — identifying areas that may need conditioning or protective equipment
Height, weight, blood pressure, vision screening — establishing baseline measurements for the athlete's health record
Final clearance signed by our licensed physician — the document your school requires to allow participation in sports
What’s Included
Noble Health Clinic’s sports physical exam covers all components required for NIAA-approved
sports clearance in Nevada.
Comprehensive review of your athlete’s past illnesses, injuries, surgeries, medications, and any family history of heart disease or sudden cardiac events.
Basic measurements including height, weight, BMI calculation, and vision screening to establish your athlete’s current baseline health markers.
Assessment of joints, posture, flexibility, and range of motion — identifying any previous injuries or physical limitations that could affect safe participation.
Cardiac and pulmonary auscultation to detect murmurs, arrhythmias, or abnormal breath sounds that could pose risk during intense athletic exertion.
Blood pressure measurement to screen for hypertension — which can be a contraindication for certain high-intensity sports without proper management.
Ear, nose, throat, and basic neurological evaluation — including assessment of any prior concussions that may affect return-to-play decisions.
Bring these items to ensure a smooth, quick visit. Most families are in and out
in 20 minutes when prepared.
Many schools have their own PPE form — bring it completed if possible. No form? We have blank copies at the clinic.
Government-issued ID or school ID for the student athlete. Parent/guardian ID also appreciated for minors.
Bring your child's immunisation records if you have them — useful for the medical history review, though not always required.
List of any chronic conditions, past injuries, surgeries, or relevant family health history (especially heart conditions).
List of all medications, vitamins, or supplements the athlete is currently taking.
Walk in during clinic hours or call (702) 425-6125. No appointment needed. Check in at the front desk with your form and ID.
Our clinical team takes height, weight, blood pressure, and reviews your medical history form before the physician exam.
A licensed physician conducts the full PPE — heart, lungs, musculoskeletal, vision, ENT, and neurological assessment.
Your physician signs the clearance form. You walk out with completed paperwork — your athlete is cleared to play the same day.

No problem — Noble Health Clinic has blank sports physical forms at the clinic. You don’t need to print or obtain the form before your visit. Sports physicals at Noble Health Clinic. This is a flat fee — no insurance required, no hidden billing, no surprise charges. We accept cash and card. This covers the full physician examination and signed clearance letter. No additional fees unless a specific additional service is requested.
The vast majority of student athletes are fully cleared at their sports physical. If our physician identifies a concern, they may issue conditional clearance (limited participation while a condition is investigated) or recommend follow-up with a specialist before full clearance. In rare cases, clearance may be temporarily withheld to protect athlete safety. Noble Health Clinic will explain any findings clearly and help coordinate any necessary referrals or follow-up care.
Yes — sports physicals are not just for students. Adults joining recreational sports leagues, returning to sport after injury, or starting high-intensity training after age 40 may also be required to have a physician sign-off. Noble Health Clinic performs sports physicals for adults as well as students. Call (702) 425-6125 to confirm your league or programme’s requirements.
Most Nevada schools require a sports physical once per academic year — typically at the start of the school year before the first sports season. Some programmes may require one per season. Check with your school’s athletic department for their specific requirements. Noble Health Clinic makes annual renewals quick and easy — same walk-in availability.
